I left my city (dosa)..
This is my first blog post ever and I'm glad it talks about dosa.
In September of 2016 I decided to leave my internship in Mumbai, India, and join Miami Ad School 13486 kms away in San Francisco. The hardest part about leaving Mumbai was my street food.
Every street corner had a dedicated sandwich, bhel, pasta, panipuri, dosa etc stall but I had my few regular favourites. The craving to have my favourite mysore masala dosa(masala on the side & garlic chutney) at Narayans, Gamdevi. The must order a masala cheese toast sandwich from Pamya with less chutney because hey! we all know how spicy that green garlic chutney can be. The diarrhoea giving road side pani puri with ragda and only tamarind chutney in the new khau gali i.e. love lane. The late night aloo cheese roll at Ayub's which is a must after every tiring party night in Mumbai.
Obviously I would also miss my friends and family but I've got my priorities straight. So much that during the spring break I had to go back to India for a few days to have the steaming hot mysore masala dosa times 3 and yeah did I mention I surprised my family too.
